Foliage: Dark green foliage through the growing season, with attractive orange to red autumn tones before leaf fall. Forms a neat, compact canopy with an upright to rounded habit.

Flowers: Masses of vivid glowing red flowers in summer, with a distinctly ruffled, almost carnation-like appearance. Highly ornamental and ideal for adding strong seasonal colour to the garden.

Fruit: Small capsule-like fruit typical of crepe myrtles; not generally considered ornamental.
