Quick Facts:
Habitat & Distribution: Native to India and Sri Lanka, this species is widely grown in warm-climate landscapes as an ornamental and screening tree. It is especially valued for its narrow form, lush foliage, and ability to create vertical impact in urban and residential settings.

Growth Habits & Uses: A tall, slender evergreen with a naturally upright, columnar to pyramidal habit and softly pendulous branching. Ideal for screening, avenues, boundary planting, feature use, and adding height where space is limited. Also useful for softening built environments and reducing noise along roadsides.

Cultivation Notes: Best suited to full sun to part shade in free-draining soil. Performs best in warm, tropical to subtropical climates and appreciates regular watering during establishment. Once established it is relatively drought tolerant, but it is less suited to cold or heavily frosted positions.
