Foliage: Soft grey-green to blue-green foliage, providing a light, open canopy. The leaves contrast beautifully against the pale trunk and branches, giving this tree strong ornamental appeal year-round.

Flowers: Creamy white flowers, typically appearing from summer into autumn. Flowers are attractive to bees, birds and other pollinators.

Fruit: Small woody gumnuts typical of Eucalypts; not generally considered ornamental.

 

Quick Facts:

Habitat & Distribution: Native to northern and inland parts of Western Australia and the Northern Territory. Naturally found along watercourses, floodplains and seasonally dry landscapes, often in challenging conditions.

Growth Habits & Uses: A highly attractive feature tree valued for its smooth white to pale grey bark and sculptural form. Excellent for large residential gardens, commercial landscapes, parks, streetscapes and feature planting where a striking native tree is required. Its lighter canopy can provide filtered shade without feeling too dense.

Cultivation Notes: Prefers full sun and well-drained soils. Drought tolerant once established and suited to warm, dry conditions. Allow adequate space for canopy development and avoid overwatering once established. Mulch well and water deeply during establishment.
