Foliage: Narrow green to grey-green foliage forming an open canopy. Provides filtered shade while allowing light through to underplanting.

Flowers: Cream to white flowers, generally appearing from late spring into summer. Flowers are attractive to bees, birds and other pollinators.

Fruit: Small woody gumnuts typical of Eucalypts; not usually considered ornamental.

 

Quick Facts:

Habitat & Distribution: A Western Australian native commonly associated with the south-west and Wheatbelt regions. Naturally suited to dryland conditions and local native landscape settings.

Growth Habits & Uses: A useful medium to large native tree with attractive pale, salmon-toned bark and a graceful canopy. Suitable for streetscapes, parks, revegetation, rural properties, larger residential gardens and commercial landscape projects where a WA native tree is preferred.

Cultivation Notes: Prefers full sun and well-drained soils. Drought tolerant once established and well suited to low-water landscapes. Allow sufficient space for canopy spread and root development. Water deeply during establishment and mulch to conserve soil moisture.
