Foliage: Glossy, dark green leaves with fine serrated edges, often displaying attractive reddish new growth. The foliage forms a dense, upright canopy that provides excellent screening and year-round colour.

Flowers: Graceful sprays of fringed, bell-shaped white to pale pink flowers appear in late spring to early summer. These dainty blossoms hang beneath the branches and add soft ornamental appeal.

Fruit: Striking blue, berry-like drupes appear after flowering and persist into autumn. The fruit attracts birds and adds further decorative interest.

Habitat & Distribution: Native to eastern Australia, from Queensland through New South Wales to eastern Victoria. Naturally found in coastal and rainforest margins, thriving in well-drained, humus-rich soils.

Growth Habits & Uses: Elegant small tree or large shrub with fine foliage and decorative flowers and fruit. Perfect as a specimen tree, hedge, or screening plant in both native and formal gardens. Attracts birds and pollinators, adding habitat value.

Cultivation Notes: Prefers full sun to part shade and moist, well-drained soils. Tolerates light frost and coastal conditions. Water regularly until established, mulch well, and prune lightly to shape or maintain density. Low-maintenance once established.
